Cosmic Oceans LLC (“Cosmic Oceans”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates cosmicoceans.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide readings, reports and accounts:

• Birth details — the birth date, and where provided the birth time and location, that you enter to generate a chart or reading. This is the core input our calculations require.
• Account information — your email address and, optionally, your name, when you create an account or request a chart.
• Purchase information — the products you buy, amounts, and order status. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
• Questions and messages — anything you voluntarily send us when requesting support or communicating about your account or an order.
• Basic technical data — standard server and analytics information such as pages visited and approximate location, used to keep the Site working and understand general usage.

How we use it

• To generate your charts, readings and reports.
• To create and secure your account, and to unlock membership content you have paid for.
• To process payments, provide receipts, and handle order support.
• To send you service messages, and — if you opt in — occasional updates and offers.
• To improve the accuracy and usefulness of our tools.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade your email address or birth details to third parties.

Service providers

We share limited information with providers who help us run the Site, and only for that purpose. These currently include Stripe (payment processing), Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting), and our email delivery provider. Each processes data under its own terms and security obligations.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the Site to function — chiefly to keep you signed in — and limited analytics to understand general traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though signing in may not work correctly without them.

Data retention

We keep account, chart and order records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent to marketing email at any time. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To make a request, contact us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honour those where they apply.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time by posting the revised version here with a new date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
